Clean: Squeaky clean; no profanity or
innuendo.
Adult:
Acros are headlined (all words capitalized) and end with an exclamation point
(question mark OK). An exception would be the title of a story, which
doesn't need to end with a punctuation mark.
General Acro (GA):
No topics are used. Shoot for one thought, one sentence.
Couch: The round winner creates and types the topic in the chat area using the command "/st" followed by the topic. The first round is always GA. The round winner may not use GA as the topic. If a topic is not provided, the topic becomes "Why is there no topic?"
Winner's Choice (WC): The round winner either creates a topic
(including GA) or lets the server provide one.
Story: The first round is the title of the story,
headlined and in quotes. The winning acro becomes the title of the story and
the following topics continue the story. The Face-Off acros conclude the story or provide the moral.
Something Else (SE):
Our take on "Something for Everyone" using topics which are submitted by our
members.
Mono(syllabic): One-syllable words are used, usually with GA or themed
GA.
Grammar:
Please capitalize and punctuate your sentences properly, and avoid use of
the ellipsis (...) and the ampersand (&).
Fairness:
Do not substitute more convenient letters which resemble the letters
given, such as Capital I used as lower case L or V V used as W. Whenever
such use is detected, the points for that acro will not count. If you spot
anyone doing this, please whisper it to the room moderator.
